pd_productuse:A precursor for synthesizing many important chemical products. Can react with carbon disulfide to produce dimethyldithiocarbamate (widely used in rubber vulcanization). Excellent solvents DMF and dimethylacetamide are also prepared from dimethylamine. A raw material for preparing many pesticides and pharmaceuticals, such as diphenhydramine. Surfactant dodecyldimethylamine oxide is also widely used in soaps and detergents. Rocket fuel unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine is also prepared from dimethylamine.
